Our Take

Close is the underrated CRM for outbound-focused startups. If your team is dialing 50+ calls/day and sending high-volume personalized emails, Close's built-in power dialer and email sequences beat the HubSpot equivalent by a significant margin.

The flat pricing model is also genuinely better for growing teams. HubSpot charges by contacts (punishes list growth) and by seats (punishes team growth). Close charges flat by user tier. For a 5-person outbound team, Close at $99/seat/month often beats HubSpot Professional at $800/month base plus overages.

Where Close falls short: if you have a serious inbound or content marketing motion, Close's marketing features won't cut it. For those teams, HubSpot's unified marketing + sales platform is worth the premium.
