Apollo is the first tool we put in almost every early-stage client's stack. For $49–$99/month, you get a contact database, email sequencing, and basic CRM functionality in one place. That breadth is its superpower at the early stage — you're not stitching together ZoomInfo + Outreach + a separate enrichment layer before you've even validated your ICP.

The data quality is genuinely good for US/Canada/UK tech targets. We've run campaigns pulling 10,000-contact lists from Apollo and seen 15–20% open rates with clean personalization. Where it falls down is high-volume deliverability: if you're sending 500+ emails/day, you'll hit limits and see domain reputation issues. At that scale, we migrate clients to Instantly or Smartlead for the sending layer while keeping Apollo as the data and list-building layer.

Our honest take: don't overthink it at seed stage. Apollo + a warmed domain gets you to your first 100 qualified conversations. Scale the stack once you've validated what's working.
