Multi-channel outreach with native LinkedIn steps and personalized image/video capabilities.
Lemlist was ahead of its time with the personalized image feature — seeing your name on a coffee mug or a customized screenshot genuinely stood out in 2021–2022. In 2024–2025, most buyers have seen it, and the novelty lift has diminished. That said, in certain SMB markets and specific ICPs (agency owners, e-commerce brands), it still works.
The multi-channel sequencing is where Lemlist earns its keep for some clients. If you want a sequence that goes email → LinkedIn connection → LinkedIn DM → email → call, Lemlist handles that in one tool. Comparable setups in other tools require stitching together Instantly + a LinkedIn automation tool + Zapier.
We don't use Lemlist in our standard stack anymore, but we'd recommend it for clients who are selling to SMBs with high LinkedIn activity and need to stand out in a crowded inbox. For pure high-volume enterprise prospecting, Instantly + Clay beats it on cost and deliverability.
SMB-focused outbound where personalized images and LinkedIn DMs can break through the noise. Less compelling for high-volume enterprise prospecting.
