Our Take

Cognism is the right call for one specific situation: European outbound. If you're building pipeline in the UK, Germany, France, or the Nordics, Apollo and ZoomInfo's European data is noticeably weaker. Cognism's phone-verified mobile numbers (their Diamond Data® product) are genuinely more accurate for European contacts than any alternative we've tested.

The GDPR compliance piece is also real value in Europe, where incorrect data handling can create legal exposure. Cognism's data collection and consent frameworks are designed for European regulations in a way that US-built tools often aren't.

For North American-only companies, Cognism is likely overkill — Apollo + Clay covers the same ground at lower cost. But if you're doing serious European GTM, Cognism is one of the few tools we'd call essential.
