LinkedIn Ads is the most expensive and most effective B2B paid channel — and the two facts are related. The reason CPCs are $8–$20 is because every B2B advertiser is bidding for the same VP of Engineering at 500-person companies. If your ICP is specific, the targeting precision justifies the premium.

We've run LinkedIn Ads for 30+ clients across different ACV ranges. The consistent finding: below $8K ACV, the math doesn't work unless your conversion rates are exceptional. At $15K+ ACV, LinkedIn regularly delivers 3–5x pipeline ROAS when the creative and targeting are dialed in. Thought Leader Ads — using executives' organic posts as paid placements — are currently the highest-performing format we're seeing across accounts.

The biggest LinkedIn Ads mistake: starting with too small a budget ($50/day) and concluding it doesn't work. You need $300–$500/day for 2–3 weeks to generate enough data to optimize. Small budgets produce small samples and false negatives.
