Demand Gen & PaidMarketing Glossary

Landing Page

A landing page is a standalone page designed for a single conversion goal — typically a demo request, free trial signup, or content download. Unlike your homepage, a landing page has no navigation (no escape routes) and every element is designed to move the visitor toward one action. The headline, subheadline, social proof, and CTA need to be in perfect alignment with the ad or campaign that drove the click.

Real-World Example

For example, a LinkedIn ad about 'reducing SDR ramp time' should link to a landing page about 'SDR productivity,' not your homepage — because message-match drives conversion and generic landings kill it.
